Ford in its place in India in the early Model A in 1907. In 1954 it ceased its operations and again restored as Mahindra Ford India. Over time, Ford has increased to 92.18% and participation rechristened as Ford India Ltd. began production from its plant in Chennai Ford Ikon in 1999.
